Travel Our Area

What could you see in our area?  Take a short tour:

History, Recreation, and Power

Did you know our area has a fascinating history in power and natural beauty? In the 1800’s gold rushes brought people to mining areas and started new trails and towns. These trails traveled through the natural beauty of our area, which now includes national forests and national parks. Because of this natural beauty, our residents have many recreational opportunities for fishing, hunting, swimming, camping, and more. With all the water in our area, Grand Coulee Dam was built to power Western United States and to irrigate the dry land. If you find yourself in our area, be sure to check out Grand Coulee Dam, Banks Lake, and our forests and parks.
