Eighth and seventh grade students attended the college fair at LRHS last week. Students learned about different opportunities for careers of interest to them from seventeen different colleges and training centers.
Grade 8 students received their laptops. The Nespelem School Board recognizes the need for students to not only learn digital citizenship, but to also participate in collaborative, connected, positive ways with others students. They need to read the web, create the web, and do this in clear, concise ways to ensure their message is received by the intended audience. This is the new literacy also recognized by our new standards, The Common Core State Standards.
